Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics Iryna Svyd successfully passed the Euroquiz “Women’s Rights in the European Union” and received a certificate, confirming her awareness in the field of gender equality and women’s rights.
The Euroquiz was created on the occasion of the International Day of Struggle for Women’s Rights and was designed not only to test knowledge, but also to deepen understanding of important aspects of the functioning of the European community.
Participants had the opportunity to find out in which European country women were the first to receive the right to vote, what are the mechanisms for supporting gender equality in Ukraine by the EU, as well as which outstanding women influence the formation of the policy and values of the European Union.
Passing such an intellectual challenge is not only a manifestation of personal activity, but also a contribution to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 5 – Gender Equality, which is aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for women and men in all spheres of life.
Euroquiz has become an excellent platform for raising awareness of the role of women in the modern world and a reminder of the importance of fighting for equality, dignity, and rights for every person.
