On April 3, 2025, the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was visited by students of the Ivano-Frankivsk Interschool Resource Center. The students were accompanied by a methodologist for professional orientation, teacher Shkira Oksana Mykhailivna and teacher Petryk Mykola Vasyliovych.
Responsible for the career guidance work of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, Hryga Volodymyr Mykhailovych, presented a presentation report to the students on the structure of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, spoke about the educational programs for which higher education applicants are trained, the possibilities of internships, internships and future employment of graduates.
The students were also addressed by the student pro forger of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Vladyslav Boyko, who spoke in detail about the features of studying in educational programs and the highly professional staff of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, and also revealed the unique opportunities that open up to higher education students during their studies at the University.
The students had the opportunity to visit many laboratories of the structural divisions of the Faculty of Physics and Technology. The Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science, Professor Volodymyr Olehovych Kotsiubynskyi, showed the students the unique equipment of the X-ray structural analysis laboratory, which is used to analyze the crystal structure of single-crystal and nanoscale materials. In addition, the students learned about interesting international projects carried out by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science and their important role in various fields of science and technology.
Professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Igor Lishchynskyi showed the students the laboratory of electricity and magnetism, where students had the opportunity to see the process of performing laboratory work by higher education students using new information technologies and modern equipment.
Doctor of Philosophy of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Yavorskyi Rostyslav Sviatoslavovych showed the students the laboratory for growing thin films and studying their electrophysical properties. Rostyslav Sviatoslavovych told the students in detail about the main methods of growing thin films, gave examples of their use and demonstrated the operation of modern scientific equipment provided by leading world companies.
In the laboratories of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, the master of the educational and professional program “Computer Engineering” showed the students educational stands of embedded computer systems and showed the possibilities of their programming in integrated development environments, and the students also got acquainted with the operation of digital and electron microscopes and 3D printing tools.
The administration of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, heads and scientific and pedagogical workers of the structural units sincerely thank the management of the Ivano-Frankivsk Interschool Resource Center, teachers and students for their visit and wish them further fruitful cooperation in educational activities.
