On March 20, 2025, the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was visited by students and teachers of the Bratkovetsky Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.
The event was moderated by Professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy Saliy Yaroslav Petrovych, who told the students about the structure of the faculty and introduced the heads of structural units.
Responsible for the career guidance work of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, Hryha Volodymyr Mykhailovych, presented the students with a presentation report on the structure of the University and its ratings, demonstrated scholarship opportunities for higher education applicants, listed the list of specialties and educational programs for which higher education applicants are trained, and spoke about the conditions for admission in 2025.
The Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science, Professor Kotsiubynskyi Volodymyr Olehovych, spoke to the students, who told them about the unique opportunities for higher education students in the modern world, which allow them to dynamically develop and achieve their goals in the field of engineering materials science and applied physics.
The Head of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Professor Nykyruy Lyubomyr Ivanovych, told the students about the importance of achieving the goal for obtaining higher education, revealed the possibilities of teamwork and gave examples of employment of famous graduates of the Faculty of Physics abroad and in Ukraine.
Professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Troyanskyi Volodymyr Volodymyrovych, demonstrated the operation of the telescope to the students and revealed the main features of observing distant astronomical objects.
Students also had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the structural units of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, where the heads of the structural units and the scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty demonstrated unique physical equipment, held interesting master classes on determining the elemental composition of objects, “smart systems”, digital microscopes and 3D printing tools.
The Director of the Scientific Library, Roman Oleksiyovych Dzumedzei, familiarized the lyceum students with the structure of the university’s scientific library and spoke about the specifics of its work in higher education institutions.
The administration of the Faculty of Physics and Technology and the heads of the structural units sincerely thank the students and teachers of the Bratkovetsky Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council for their visit and wish them further fruitful cooperation.
