From October 6 to 10, 2025, the International Freik Conference on Physics and Technology of Thin Films and Nanosystems (ICPTTFN-XX) was held at the Carpathian National University. This significant scientific event, dedicated to current issues in nanotechnology and materials science, traditionally brought together leading researchers from Ukraine and around the world.
A special feature of this year’s conference was the active participation of young researchers from higher education institutions. Postgraduate and master’s students of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics took part in the section “Applications of Nano- and Thin Films: Energy, Biotechnology and Medicine, Defense, Space, etc.”, where they presented the results of their research.
In particular, Vadym Hula, a third-year PhD student of the Educational and Scientific Program “Electronics”, presented a report titled “Computer Modeling of Ring Oscillators in Sensor SoC: Film CMOS with PLD/FPGA Prototyping”; Oleksandr Samarchuk, a first-year PhD student of the same program, delivered a presentation “Computer Modeling of Output Stages of Touch Microsystems-on-Chip Based on Film CMOS Transistor Structures”; and a second-year master’s student of the Educational and Professional Program “Computer Engineering” presented a report titled “Development of a Device for Recording Heart Rhythms Based on the ESP32 Microcontroller and Thin Film Structures.”
The young scientists delivered presentations covering a wide range of topics, including electronics, medicine, sensor technologies, and electronic components of computer systems. Participation in ICPTTFN-XX became an excellent opportunity for them not only to present their research achievements but also to learn about the latest global trends, discuss them with experienced professors and scientists, and develop important social and professional skills.
