On April 24, 2025, scientific and pedagogical workers of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University conducted career guidance work in the lyceums of the Rozhniv village council of the Kosiv district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Career guidance meetings with teachers and students were held at the Rozhniv “Hutsulshchyna” Lyceum named after Fedor Pogrebennyk, the Kobakiv Lyceum named after Mark Cheremshyna, and the Khimchyn Lyceum “Intellect”. More than 200 high school students participated in the events.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Professor Ivan Yaremiy, delivered a welcoming speech to the future entrants, who told the students and teachers about the structure of the University and its international activities, presented in detail the educational programs of the Faculty of Physics and Technology and the scientific and pedagogical staff of the departments that train higher education applicants at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate levels. Considerable attention was paid to the material and technical base of the Faculty of Physics, and the students were shown unique equipment for performing physical experiments in the field of materials science, astronomical research, nanotechnology, electronics and computer engineering.
It is worth noting that many graduates of the lyceums of the Rozhniv Village Council became graduates of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, and some continue their studies and scientific research activities at higher levels of higher education, in particular master’s and doctorate degrees.
Responsible for the career guidance work of the Faculty of Technology, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, Volodymyr Mykhailovych Hryga, acquainted students and teachers of lyceums with information about the all-Ukrainian and international rankings of the University, presented in detail the structure of the main divisions of the University, listed the list of educational and professional programs and specialties for which applicants for higher education at the bachelor’s level are trained, spoke about unique scholarship opportunities for students and opportunities for studying under double diploma programs. Students of grades 10 and 11 were also informed about available state grants and the conditions for receiving them, with special attention focused on specialties that have special state support. Students of grades 9 learned about educational programs and conditions for admission to the Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational College, which is part of the University.
The meeting was held in an extremely warm and friendly atmosphere, the students learned a lot of interesting things about the University, the educational and professional programs of the Faculty of Physics and Technology and its material and technical base, the features of training, international activities and future employment opportunities.
